We are sad to announce that on September 18, 2024, at the age of 97, James Forbes of Farmington Hills, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Clifton and Wava Marie Forbes; his wife Wilma; and his son James Forbes (late Debbie). He is survived by: his children, Gail Williams (Mike), Beth Bell (John) and Brian Forbes (Valerie); his grandchildren, Kelly Carey, Lisa Bell, Robert Williams, Jennie Kroll (Eric), Joshua Bell (Ashley) and Lauren Williams; his great grandchildren, Ashlyn Carey, Colin Williams, Dylan Williams, Charlotte Bell and Traver Kroll; and his siblings, Richard Forbes and Marylou Yates.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thayer-Rock Funeral Home (33603 Grand River Ave, Farmington, MI 48335). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
