He was predeceased by: his parents, Ely Lee and WillaBelle Smith (Rankin); and his siblings, Dorothy Patricia Jean Ortiz and Robert M. D. Lee. He is survived by: his wife Ella; his daughter Glenda (TX); his nieces, Lisa Ortiz (NJ) and Racquel Ortiz (MI); his sister Sherrie Brannon; his half-brothers, Fulton Smith and Calvin Smith (Rosecile); his nieces, Del Ortiz, Carmen Frohman, Amber O'Brien (Lee), Dawn Lee, Sabrina Lee and Kerren Lee; and his nephew Jose Ortiz.
