He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Almas and Rose Almas (Robitaille); and his former wife Elaine (Ziegler). He is survived by: his cousins, Chris Cahill (late Frank) and Paul Gherman (Carmen); his fiancée Donna Coulter; and his partner's children, Echo Reed (Tom), Gail Guardiano (Jeb) and Greg Coulter (Jinx).
