He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Andrews and Nellie Andrews; his wife Helen June (Varga); and his siblings, George, Edward, Ann and Birdie.

He is survived by: his children, Carol Andrews (Charles Ferguson), David Andrews (Barbara) and Cynthia Andrews (Scott Sumner); and his grandchildren, Tyler Andrews, Rachel Ferguson (Zachary Nowicki), Connor Ferguson, Hannah Sumner and Emily Sumner.
