He was predeceased by: his parents, Irwin Weingarten and Nettie Weingarten; his brother Dr. Joel Weingarten; his parents-in-law, Belle and Maurice Rosender; and his brother-in-law William Rosender.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Weingarten; his children, Dr. Jeffrey Weingarten (Joyce), Dr. Brenda Weingarten (Robert Felsenfeld), Dr. Mark Weingarten (Cindy) and Ellen Kasselman (Geoffrey); his grandchildren, Emily Rex (Cody), Elliot Weingarten (Libby), Joshua Felsenfeld (Mallorie), Elyssa Felsenfeld (Joshua Greenberg), Matthew Felsenfeld (Jen Zieger), Zachary Felsenfeld, Erin Weingarten (Becca Ward), Merrick Weingarten, Tori Weingarten, Mitchell Kasselman (Audrey) and Samantha Kasselman; his great grandchildren, Lucy, Hannah Weingarten, Jona Felsenfeld, Shae and Oliver Greenberg; his sisters-in-law, Barbara Heller and Karen; and his caregivers, Ricci, Diana, Joyce, Tierra and Lucy.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ira Kaufman Chapel (18325 W Nine Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48075). A reception will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A shiva will be held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at the Residence of Dr (2840 Oakbrooke Ln, West Bloomfield Township, MI 48323).
