He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Schoo and Maxine Schoo (DeKam); his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Anne Herweyer (Tacoma); his brothers-in-law, Ron Herweyer and Khalid Al-Shawi; and his nephews, Tony Hitesman and Steve Herweyer.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Schoo of Falmouth and Dan Schoo (Pat) of Falmouth; his granddaughters, Brittany Laughlin (Coley) of Evart and Paige Schoo of Falmouth; his great grandchildren, Alena and Colson; his siblings, Mary Jane Hitesman (Bob) of Zeeland, Emily Stange (Jim) of Cadillac and Tim Schoo (Sandy) of Falmouth; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Al-Shawi of Cambridge. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home (211 N Pine St, McBain, MI 49657).
