He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Huttenga and Jeane Huttenga (Spoelma); his wife Wilma Arlene Koster; his siblings, Shirley and Jerry; his sister-in-law Gladys Huttenga; and his niece Dawn Richardson.

He is survived by: his children, Terry Huttenga, Sharon VanDrie (Kevin) and Larry Huttenga; his grandchildren, Jake Huttenga (Emily), Jared Huttenga (Alyssa), Kelsey Wood (Conner), Kyleigh Huttenga, Eric VanDrie (Alexandra), Drew VanDrie, Sarah VanDrie (Kevin VanLiew), Allyson Huttenga and Joshua Huttenga; his great grandchildren, Aleeya, Myles, Parker and Tys Huttenga; and his brother Kerwin Huttenga (Sally). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Northern Michigan Christian School, Aetna Christian Reformed Church or Hospice of Michigan.

Ron was one of 2 classmates I had at Prosper School from the 1st through the 8th grade and was a dear childhood friend. When I returned to the Prosper area over the years to attend family funerals, Ron was always there to offer his condolences.
