She was predeceased by: her parents, William Riedel and Alice Riedel (Molhoek); her husband Bernard "Bud" Van Haitsma; her sons, Steve and Dale Van Haitsma; and her in-laws, Herman Van Haitsma, Marvin Brannam, Dale Birtles and Marian Jenema (Bob).
She is survived by: her children, Karen Curtis (Lee) of McBain and Bruce Van Haitsma of McBain; her daughter-in-law Joy A. Van Haitsma of McBain; her brothers, Jim Riedel (Connie) of Clare and Kenneth Riedel (Rosemary) of Clio; her grandchildren, Shawn Curtis (Lisa) of McBain, Nicole Conway (Billy) of Lake City, James Van Haitsma of McBain and Amanda Earnest (Ethan) of Midland; her great grandchildren, Elwyn Earnest of Midland, Ashton Conway of Lake City and Olivia Conway of Lake City; and her sisters-in-law, Delores Brannam of Falmouth, Phyllis Birtles of McBain and Elaine Rozelle (Rex) of Hudson.
