He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl DeKam and Betty DeKam (Winkel); his parents-in-law, Harold and Bernice Ebels; and his brothers-in-law, Dave and Paul Ebels.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ebels; his children, Betsy Rozeveld (Brent), Peter DeKam (Valerie), Chris DeKam (Samantha), Nathan DeKam (Shelly), Nicole Wang (Chris Mann) and Jamie DeKam; his grandchildren, Isabel, Adria, William, Jonah Rozeveld and Lily; and his children, Violet, Dahlia, Evelyn, Annie, Sarah, Christopher, Owen, Mallory, Benjamin and Tyson DeKam.
Memorial contributions can be made to the churches he loved - Prosper CRC in Falmouth or the Grove Church in Lake City, Munson Hospice for the care he received or Rambler Review at McBain Highschool, which allowed him to watch his granddaughters compete even when his health was failing.
