He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Layman and Alice Layman (Boerner); and his siblings, David Layman, Ron Layman and Patricia Galbraith.
He is survived by: his children, Coral Guindon (Todd Wittum) of Curran, MI and Kevin Guindon (Jessica) of Toledo, OH; his grandchildren, Devin Guindon (Cora), Tiffine Guindon, Kaleb Guindon, Ryan Blair (Leah), Brianna Weaver (Stephen), Cody Sprague and Megan Sprague (Mike Kitrell); his siblings, Judy Bosick of Mesa, AZ and Richard Layman of Grayling, MI; and his great grandchildren, Lillyanna, Daughson, Noah, Trenten, Alivia, Levi, Mackenzie, Scarlet and Luke. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
