He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Emig and Velma Emig (Harder); and his sister Gaye Marker. He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Shelia Weaver (Jim), Carrie Emig and Patrick Emig (Ty); the mother of his children Carol "Emig" Best; his stepchildren, April Evans (Reece), Chris La Rosa (Brian) and James Gerber (Pam); his siblings, Mona Lee (Cary), Stu Emig, Ted Emig and Marshall Emig; and his grandchildren, Dustin Miller, Debra Spry, Amanda Barham, James Weaver, Earl Wayne Weaver, Selena McElvain (Markus), Erica Emig, Rebecca Emig, Britney Wright (Chad), Kessler Evans, Dustin La Rosa, Nicholas La Rosa, Amber La Rosa, Patrick Gerber and Erin Gerber. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
