He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Vernier and Elizabeth Vernier (Thompson); and his sister Joan Latona. He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his daughter Geri; his son-in-law Michael McCann; his grandchildren, Marissa and Keith; his siblings, Richard, John, Peter (Debbie), Jean Corbat (Paul), Jane Mount (Carl) and Elizabeth Cloutier (Brian); his brother-in-law Carl Latona; and his uncle Vic. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
