Derek R. Harmon Obituary

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Derek R. Harmon of Fair Haven, Michigan, born in Dearborn, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. In the vast expanse of eternity, Derek shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Derek farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his uncle Dale Harmon; and his cousin Stephanie Harmon. He is survived by: his parents, Cynthia Harmon and Greg Harmon; his sister Rev. Breanne Harmon Ryan; and his nephews, Daniel, James and Jack Ryan. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home - Gendernalik Chapel (35259 23 Mile Rd, New Baltimore, MI 48047). The lying in state was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church (36223 Alfred St, New Baltimore, MI 48047-2106). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Derek's family prefers memorial contributions be made to First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 36223 Alfred St., New Baltimore.
