He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur LaPlant (Jim) and Charlotte LaPlant; his brother James Albert LaPlant (Jimmer); and his grandparents, Lyle, Marie LaPlant, Larry and Gertrude Ojaniemi.
He is survived by: his children, Jody Dahl (Matt), Joseph LaPlant (Kassidy), Jasmine LaPlant (Nick), Justin LaPlant and Jessica LaPlant; and his stepson David Blackberg. He is also survived by many Aunt, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
