He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John J. Brooks and Rosemary E. Brooks; his wife Bobbie; his children, Rhonda Swan (Brian), Lauren Brooks and Joe Brooks (Stacy); his grandchildren, Hanalei, Xane, NuraScilyn, Lucy and Livi; his pet Ozzie; and his brother Bob. He was also cherished by one of eight siblings.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be sent to International Order of Fire.
