With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roland Lee Phelps (Evart, Michigan), who passed away on June 19, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Phelps and Ila Mae Phelps (Gardner); his son Alan; and his stepparents, Guy Coleman and Julia Phelps.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Phelps (McGahan) of Evart; his children, Kevin Phelps (Sandy) of Clarkston, Randy Phelps (Nancy) of Ada, Diane Brackett (Bruce) of Sears, Marcia Truxton-Frye (Scott) of Norton Shores, Tom Bell (Amy) of Greenville, Patti Bell of Big Rapids, David Phelps (Cheri) of Lowell and Andy Phelps of Grand Rapids; and his brothers, Chuck Phelps (Bea), Don Phelps (Laura), Everett Phelps (Peg) and William Phelps. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Michigan.
