He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kordie and Vera Kordie (Dougan); his children, Daniel Kordie and Deborah Kordie; and his siblings, George Kordie, Barbara Helka and Janice Mitchell.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Ann Ruth; his children, Denise Kordie, Darrel Kordie (Kim) and Diane Trowbridge (Clark); and his grandchildren, Daniel Kordie (Jen), David Kordie (Karissa), Ashley Trowbridge, Hannah Heurtebise (Fred), Elizabeth Trowbridge, Jacob Trowbridge, Abigail Trowbridge and Leah Trowbridge. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
