He was predeceased by: his father Bruce; and his sister Vicky West. He is survived by: his wife Karen B. McKinstry of Evart; his mother Marilyn Herman of Greenville; his daughters, Brenda VanAssche (Matthew) of Evart and Andrea Richardson (Charles) of Grand Rapids; his granddaughters, Caroline, Josephine and Wrenn; and his siblings, Bruce Wixon (Sheila) of Greenville and Cindy Wixon of Greenville. He is also survived by friends, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Memorial contributions in John's name can be made to the Osceola County Commission on Aging.
