Jerre Marie Gostlin Obituary
Jerre Marie Gostlin (AKA: Grandma Sunshine, Doughnut), age 70, of Evart Michigan passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Jerre was born on July 6, 1952, in Detroit Michigan to Edmund Rolland Gostlin and Eileen Marie (Bulger) Gostlin. Jerre spent part of her childhood growing up in Detroit before her family moved to Evart Michigan to begin a dairy farm. Later on, to make Evart her home. Jerre was a 1970 graduate of Evart High School. Jerre started her working career at Wolverine Worldwide in Reed City Michigan then went on to work many years at Evart Products before eventually taking an early retirement due to health reasons.
Jerre had a strong faith in God. She also had a strong belief in the Native American way of life. She enjoyed nature,
the tranquility of the water, playing her piano, going to the casino, having picnics and her favorite was having slumber parties, dancing, playing her piano while singing, and watching scary movies with her grandkids. She was also well known for her treat cupboard. Family meant everything to her. Anytime with family to her was time well spent and she truly cherished every moment she could. Jerre was the most selfless, loving, caring and giving person. She would give anyone the shirt off her back or her last penny if she knew it would help someone in need. Jerre was also the most forgiving person, she did not judge. She lived strong in her faith in God and felt that everyone one day would have to stand before God.
Jerre is survived by her soulmate of many years Danny Vanas. Her 5 children that meant the absolute world to her Tina Stiles with 4 children, 3 grandbabies, Nichole (Lyle) Vredenburg with 5 children, 10 grandbabies, Larry (Cindy Truxton) Norris, Edmund Norris 6 children, 4 grandbabies, Michael Norris 1 child. 3 bonus children with children and grandchildren as well. 6 siblings, Uncles, Aunts, many nephews and nieces along with many friends she held very dear to her.
Jerre was proceeded in death by her parents Edmund Roland Gostlin, Eileen Marie Gostlin, her sister Michelle Rose (Gostlin) Militello, nephew Joseph Kenneth Gostlin and bonus child Eric (Boomer) Vanas.
