It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jacob A. Ludy Jr. of Evart, Michigan, born in Los Angeles, California, who passed away on September 21, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Sr. Ludy and Della Margaret Ludy (McLachlan); his wife Barbara Vader; his sister Caroline Hummel of Virginia; and his stepdaughter-in-law Marsha Vader.
He is survived by: his stepsons, Marty Vader (Maxine) of Mecosta, Mike Vader (Peggy) of Mecosta and Lou Vader of Six Lakes; his grandchildren, Jerry Vader of Texas, Marcie Randolph of Marion, Mark Vader of Wisconsin, Mike Vader of Mecosta, Matt Vader of Weidman, Katrina Bontekoe of Marion and Jennifer Perez of Lakeview; and his nephews, John Hummel of North Carolina, Bob Hummel of Virginia and Albert Hummel of Virginia. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
