He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Edwin and Alvina Katherine Maddern (Rensman); his wife Donna L. Elder (Tebo); his brother Ray Maddern (Pat); and his brothers-in-law, Richard Orr, Ronald Miller, Norm Maney and Hank Moncion.
He is survived by: his son Donald Maddern (Kathy) of Evart; his grandsons, Dylan and Dominic Maddern of Evart; his stepchildren, Charlene Bancroft of Reed City, Diana Blanchard (Greg) of Evart, Brian Elder of Evart and Darrell Elder (Lori) of Evart; his stepgrandchildren, Beth, Nikki, Lorrie, Katie, Daniel, Levi, Sierra, C. J., Casey and Kelsey; and his sisters, Jean Orr of Jupiter, FL, Mary Miller of Ovid and Evelyn Moncion of Evart.
