She was predeceased by: her parents, Hershal M. Owen and Caroline Owen (Ockler); her husband Robert J. Thorburn; and her siblings, Betty Hart, Evelyn Babcock, Ellen Leiby, Martin and Vincent Owen.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Thorburn of Ypsilanti and Steven Thorburn (Lisa) of Orlando; and her grandchildren, Andrew Bates (Tara) of Billerica, MA and Karen Bates (Alan VandenBosch) of Ann Arbor.
