It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Winfred Anthony Bachman (Essexville, Michigan), who passed away on May 4, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank A. Bachman and Elsie Hulda Bachman (O'Toole); his brother Lornie Bachman (Carol); and his parents-in-law, William Aulbert, Fritz Chamberlain and Mary Aulbert.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Bachman; his children, Gary Bachman (Linda), Kirk Bachman (Jayne), David Bachman (Kathleen), Mary Rasmussen (Steve), Mark Bachman (Colleen), Michael Bachman (Mary), Matthew Bachman (Andrea) and Brian Bachman (Christine); his grandchildren, Christina Farkas, Becky White, Keith Bachman, Ryan Bachman, Andrew Rasmussen, Stephanie Corrion (Rasmussen), Jennifer Rasmussen, Emily Rasmussen, Ashley Lawmaster (Bachman), Rachelle Charbonneau (Bachman), Kayla Facundo (Bachman), Evan Bachman, Cecilia Bachman, Kaylynn Bachman, Sarah Bachman, Aaron Bachman and Cassidy Bachman; his siblings, Arnold Bachman, Lois Curtis (J. B.), Verna Ewoldt and Larry Bachman (Rose Marie); and his parents-in-law, Lomila Chamberlain, John Aulbert (Lorna), Donald Aulbert (Mary Lou) and Robert Aulbert.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, a Memorial Mass is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2020 at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church), 614 Pine St., Essexville. The Rite of Committal will be held privately in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
