It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Stephen Zacharko of Essexville, Michigan, born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on May 29, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Zacharko and Mary Zacharko (Mahoney); and his sisters-in-law, Pam Burgeson (Gary) and Holly Hackborn. He is survived by: his wife Penny Prieur; his children, Quinn Pakkiri and Nick Zacharko (Katie); his grandchildren, Kai, Owen, Nate, Alex and Jacob; his siblings, Robert Zacharko (Pam) and Lexie Dorion (Geoff Miller); and his siblings-in-law, Dick, Sandy Prieur, Jeff Prieur, Terre, Ted Freiach and Rob Hackborn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family, c/o Penny Zacharko, to be utilized to underwrite the sports fees for children in need.
