It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Lou Bennett of Essexville, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on August 31, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Kelly and Eleanor Kelly (Remnant); her former spouse Thrane R. Smith; her husband Clarence Bennett; her son Thomas Smith; her stepdaughter Karen Bennett; and her brothers, Thomas and Gary Kelly.
She is survived by: her boyfriend Paul; her children, Richard Smith (Janet) of Louisiana, Debra Eisel (James) of Livonia and Elizabeth Langell of Westland; her stepchildren, Bruce Bennett (Gay), Jeff Bennett (Denise) and Mary Ellen Sedlack (Brian); and her sister-in-law Judy Wisniewski. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
