He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis J. Butryn and Jean C. Butryn (Barr); and his sister Janis Kroll (Stanley). He is survived by: his wife Alice L. Mielcarek of Escanaba; his children, Robert K. Butryn (Jill), Sheela Gustafson (Jeff), Anita Butryn (Pat DuBord) and Asha Butryn; his grandchildren, David (Emilia), Daniel (Carmin), Terrance, Matthew, Allison, Taylor, Lexey, Halle, Adrian, Brezlin and Isaiah; his great grandchildren, Claire and Anthony; and his siblings, Richard Butryn (Winnie) and Julie Gagne (Gary). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
