He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Latva and Mary Latva (Hill); his wife Joanne Petersen (Jaeger); his siblings, Lila Massey, Elma Massey, Elsie Bramam, Bertha Latva, Anita Latva, Eino, Edward and Ted Latva; and his brother-in-law Ronald Jaeger.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Petersen (Geri) of Powers, MI. and Rose Michelle "Shelly" Fazer (Clarence) of Powers, MI.; his grandchildren, Holli Lange (Bucky), Matt Petersen (Courtney), Nikki Koch (Alex), Kristy Fazer and Bryant Fazer (Erin); his great grandchildren, Jordan Holvick (Devon), Connor Lange, Sophia Lange, Ally Koch, Grant Petersen, Callie Rose Fazer, Madden Koch, Lillian Fazer and Julliana Fazer; and also, Verna Jaeger, John and Max Jaeger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 11:00 PM to 12:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Homes (2200 Ludington St, Escanaba, MI 49829). The military honors will be held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the same location.
