He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ellis and Ann Hook (Franklin); his son Christopher P. Hook; his niece Liz Keith (Karlgaard); and his brother-in-law Richard E. "Dick" Karlgaard.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. William C. Hook (Deborah) of Escanaba, MI, Paul F. Hook of Mill City, OR and Kari A. Jacobson (Jason); his grandchildren, Stephen Hook, Rachel Store (Justin), Sarah Hook, Jonathon Hook, Christopher Hook, Mary Hook, Peter Thomas Hook, Jakob Hook, Leif Jacobson and Liam Jacobson; his great grandchildren, Emma Store and Neal Store; and his sister Patrica Karlgaard. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Parkway Funeral and Cremation Service (2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck, ND 58503). The military honors was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery (1825 46th St, Mandan, ND 58554).
