He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Keller and Betty Keller; and his brother Daniel. He is survived by: his partner Marvis McLeod; his son David Keller Jr. (Lena); his grandson Arthur Keller; and his siblings, Tim Keller (Kim Littlefield), Mary Vanwashanova (Dennis) and Shelly Keller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
