Elfrieda Sophia Swyers Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elfrieda Sophia Swyers of Erie, Michigan, born in Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on January 29, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Szeve and Erna Szeve (Nagel); her husband Charles Christian Swyers Jr.; her son Charles Christian Swyers III; and her siblings, Heinz Szeve, Bessie Risner and Elvera Flood.

She is survived by: her daughters, Laurie Swyers (Mary) and Beth Maenle (Tom); her adoptive daughter Sonya Carnicom; her grandchildren, Chuckie, Chelsea, Leah, Tylre, Nash and Autumn; and her great grandchildren, Kain, Renoa, Marth, Ephram, Chase, Rylee, Thomas, Lincoln, Jager and Roman.

Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Grand Rapids Care Center.
