We bid farewell to Corey Bomia of Erie, Michigan, born in Monroe, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 10, 2024 at the age of 60. Corey touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his father Edward Douglas Bomia; his siblings, Steven, Timothy and Wendy Gardner; and his aunt Joanie Raymond.
He is survived by: his mother Carol Ann Bomia (Raymond) of Luna Pier; his wife Melissa Ann Bomia of Erie; his daughter Megan Bomia of Findlay, Ohio; and his siblings, Julie Burgard (Paul) of Erie, Ed Bomia (Angie) of LaSalle, Troy Bomia (Shannon O'Brian) of Romulus and Art Raymond (Joyce) of Monroe. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Merkle Funeral Service (14567 S Dixie Hwy, Monroe Charter Twp, MI 48161). A rosary was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the Deacon Ken Trabbic and the Erie Knights of Columbus. The lying in state was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (2214 Manhattan St, Erie, MI 48133). A Mass was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
