Angela Mae LaPlante Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter J. Lewis and Hazel Lewis Schiffer (Duvall); her husband Lionel J. LaPlante; her children, Douglas LaPlante, Jeff LaPlante and Carol LaPlante; her grandchildren, Kari LaPlante and Ryan LaPlante; and her siblings, Howard Lewis, Walter Lewis, Ray Lewis, Ruth Winkler, Rita Stobinski, Helena Turner and Janet Parran.
She is survived by: her son Howard LaPlante (Diane) of Erie; her daughter-in-law Diane LaPlante of Massachusetts; and her sister Elrose Deehan of Canada. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Merkle Funeral Service (14567 S Dixie Hwy, Monroe Charter Twp, MI 48161). The lying in state will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (2214 Manhattan St, Erie, MI 48133). A Mass will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are suggested to hospice.
