She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Merchand and Karoline Merchand (Kriesche); and her siblings, Joseph Merchand, Gerald Merchand and Katy Merchand.

She is survived by: her children, Carolyn "Carrie" Tucker of Manistique, Matthew Barnes (Alexis) of Montgomery and Lucas Barnes (Cary) of Mannford, Oklahoma; and her siblings, Michael Merchand (Margo), James Moeggenberg (Sue), Bill Merchand (Teddie), Larry Nickols (Ann) and Patricia Merchand. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
