He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Melton and Laurel Melton. He is survived by: his wife Trudy; his children, Gloria Al-Hasanawi (Hakim) and Steven Melton (Christa); his grandchildren, Derek Stults and Laurel G. Melton; his sister Linda Murphy (Patrick); his father-in-law Ernie Selby; and his adoptive son Martin Owen. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
