With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Ann O'Brien of Empire, Michigan, born in Lake Leelanau, Michigan, who passed away on July 8, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Roy Couturier; her husband Harold F. O'Brien; her sons, Roy O'Brien and Thomas O'Brien; and her siblings, Richard Couturier, Betty Mucha, Rosalyn O'Brien, Leroy Couturier and Frederick Couturier.

She is survived by: her mother Mazil Couturier (McNeely); her children, Frederick O'Brien (Sharon), Timothy O'Brien (Rhonda), Colleen King (Dennis), Julie Brott (Robert) and Robert O'Brien (Jillian); her grandchildren, Matthew O'Brien, Michael O'Brien, Morgan Chalup (Paul), Lauren O'Brien, Andrew King, Steven King (Allison), Daniel Brott, Benjamin Brott, Scott Brott, Wilson Brott (Kris), Caden O'Brien and Olivia O'Brien; and her great grandchildren, Kate Chalup, Emma Chalup and Addison King. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
