He was predeceased by: his parents, James Shepard and Ruth Shepard. He is survived by: his wife Kim I. Townley; his daughters, Kathleen Shepard and Sarah Shepard; and his siblings, Rick Shepard, Tom Shepard (Susan), Ken Shepard, Janet Davis, Roberta Champine and Glenn Shepard (Susan Bieniek). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
