He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Stade and Ida Stade; his wife Carol Bantle; and his siblings, Mildred, Helen, Shirley, Dorothy and Viola.

He is survived by: his children, Gayle Lambert (James), Marie Keller (David), Gary (Phyllis), Ronald, Paul (Melissa) and Dale (Laura).
