She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon S. Williams and Ruth E. Williams (Partlow); her husband Dick; her son Daniel Sturgis; and her siblings, Glenn (Cleo Williams) and Helen (Kaye Potter).
She is survived by: her sons, Douglas Sturgis of Elsie, MI, Dennis (Anne Sturgis) and Kevin Tishler of Lake Placid; her grandchildren, Ashley, Steve Mayor of East Lansing, MI, Brandon Sturgis (Zhana) of Royal Oak, MI, Courtney Sturgis (Bryan) of Ferndale, MI, Erika Sturgis (Justin) of Three Rivers, MI and Shannon Sturgis (Neil Daeschlein) of Saginaw, MI.; and her great grandchildren, Riann, Tison, Karsyn, Hawkin, Grant and David. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 21st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Smith Family Funeral Homes (221 E Main St, Elsie, MI 48831). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 10:45 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Elsie Lioness Club.
