With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gaylord Leslie Long of Elsie, Michigan, who passed away on November 1, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Long and Anna Long (Darling); and his daughter Darlene. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Long of Elsie, MI; his children, David (Sally Long), Dennis (Carolyn Long), Douglas Long of Ovid, MI and Debra Long of Elsie, MI.; his grandchildren, Mike Long (Valerie), Amy Long-Carman (Brad), Christi Stenger, Brad Long (Kerri), Travis Long (Sandy) and Heidi Uresti (Randy); and his great grandchildren, Cayleb, Dylan, Braxton, Nicholas, Myah, Ellyanna, Hunter, Owen, Oliver, Emmylou, Griffin, Mitchell, Grace and Ian.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Homes (232 E Oak St, Ovid, MI 48866). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at the Fairfield Township Cemetery (4300 N Vincent Rd, Elsie, MI 48831).
