She was predeceased by: her parents, Cletus Chalk and Eva Elder (Russ); her stepparent Jesse Elder; her husband David McAboy; and her sister Sue Ann.
She is survived by: her sons, Dan McAboy and John "Darius" McAboy (Lindsay); her grandchildren, Jacob, Angelina, Jade, Korey, Fernando, Tony McAboy and Adrianna Pierce; her great grandchildren, Sylvia and Mable McAboy; and her siblings, Peggy Bellamy, Jerry Elder, Tobey Brock and Tina Riddle.
In response to the Michigan COVID-19 restrictions, Kay's memorial service at Durand Church of God and interment at Crestwood Cemetery is pending.
