It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Arthur Wadell (Elsie, Michigan), who passed away on December 16, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Wadell and Mary Wadell; his sister Marilyn; and his brothers-in-law, Don Clark and Harley Aylor.

He is survived by: his wife Gail Harte; his children, Douglas Wadell (Karie), Jeffrey Wadell (Amy), Michelle Socha (James) and Melissa Smith (Scott); his grandchildren, Eric, Abigail, Noah, Kyle, Zachary, Megan, Malachi and Annabelle; and his siblings, Lyle (Kathy), Janice Yallup (David) and Betty Hallead (Mervin).

In leu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Joseph Church Education Fund, or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

“Dear Wadell Family., We were saddened to hear of the passing of Charles. I have known Charles, Harry, Mary and Janice all my life. I remember when my Dad went deer hunting, Charles came down to do the chores. He was also my 4-H woodworking leader. He had the patience of a saint! The Wadell were good employers when I worked on the farm for a couple of years. We sincerely offer our condolences.. Due to health concerns we are unable to attend, but we will be there in spirit.
