With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Max Root (Elm Hall, Michigan), born in Alma, Michigan, who passed away on April 9, 2020 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Merritt Root and Mable Root (Caswell); and his siblings, Elmer, Warren Root and Eleanor Bongard.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Root of Elm Hall; his daughters, Connie Walworth (Kip) of Kentwood and Teresa Sanxter (Steve) of Caledonia; his grandchildren, Carlie Cook (Matt) of Caledonia, Ashley Thompson (Keith) of Caledonia, Paul Walworth (Katie) of East Lansing and Meghan Sanxter of Grand Rapids; and his brother-in-law Reuel Rockafellow (Lil) of Grand Ledge. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
