He was predeceased by: his close friend Dennis "Erwin" Short. He is survived by: his parents, Louise Kirby Alfred of Ellsworth and R. Joseph Alfred of Maryland; his sons, Logan Short of Mancelona and Jayden Alfred of Mancelona; his siblings, Jeffrey Alfred of Dominica and Jodee Alfred Warner of Maryland; his nephews, Marlee Warner of Maryland and Ryan Alfred of Dominica; and his niece Raquel Alfred of Dominica.
