He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Tornga and Alyda Tornga (Meyer); his son Steve Tornga; and his siblings, Clarence Tornga, Jake Tornga, Jeanette Groot and Helen Henderson.
He is survived by: his wife Grace Tornga; his daughter Judy Jaratz of Central Lake; and his grandchildren, Laray Barraw (Jim) of Ellsworth, Shelly Jenkins (Peter) of Caledonia, Kelly Matter (Dawson) of Charlevoix and Steven Tornga (Rhonda) of Ellsworth. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
