He was predeceased by: his mother Ellsworth; and his siblings, Tillie DeZeeuw (Peter), Gerrit Bolhuis (Henrietta), Abel Bolhuis (Emma), Margaret Huizinga (Elmer), Henrietta Boeskool (John), Minnie Bolhuis, Nellie Grimberg (Neil), Minnie Hoekstra (Christian "Hooky"), Clara Van Til (Dick), Alice Vander Wall (Hugo) and Hattie Veenstra (Bernie).
He is survived by: his wife Wilma; his children, Ardith Tornga (Jack), Celia Hastings (John) and Roger Bolhuis (Sarah); his grandsons, Paul Hastings, Scott Tornga and Ed Boh; and his great grandchildren, Grant Hastings, Jake Hastings, Mick Hastings and Eddie Boh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
