We are sad to announce that on June 13, 2020, at the age of 84, Ray Deweerd Smith in Elkton, Michigan, born in Troy, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred DeWeerd and Bertie Smith (Saunders); and his sisters, Jewel Dean Richey (Parkes) and Delores Kelly (James). He is survived by: his wife Marguerite L. Luginbhl; his children, Karen, Dwayne Smith (Tracey), Renita Kretzschmer (Tony) and Beth Moore (Mike); his grandchildren, Tim, Ben, Andy, Kelly, Julie, Haley, Grant, Steve, Jon, Rachel, Wesley, Shana, Jennifer and Allissa; and his sister Rebecca Surrett (David).

Memorials may be made to the Elkton Community Wesleyan Church, 5171 Whalen Street, Elkton, MI 48731.
