He was predeceased by: his father Frank Atkinson; his sister-in-law Alma; and his nephew Darrin. He is survived by: his daughter Tonya Smith (Bill) of Kinde; his grandchildren, Connor and Katelyn Smith; his brother Jerry of Elkton; his significant other Cheryl "Tipper" Atkinson of Elkton; his significant other's sons, Michael Markham (Zoe) and Aaron Markham (Ashley); and also, McKenzie, Bryanna and Oliver. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
