It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert J. Gillies (Elk Rapids, Michigan), born in Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on April 2, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Diane Gillies; his siblings, Donald "Skip" Gillies III (Collette), Timothy Gillies (Cindy), Thomas Gillies and Beth Elkins (Thomas); his children, Jeffrey Gillies, Marla and Heather Abels; his grandchildren, Noah, Hannah Abels and Molly Gillies Lang; his brothers-in-law, Daniel Pratt (Doreen) and James Pratt; his stepson Scott Starkel (Sarah); his granddaughter Sophie Lynn; and his close friend John Cranias. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
The family asks that donation be given to the American Heart Association.
