With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Smith (Elk Rapids, Michigan), born in Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on August 30, 2019 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ford Smith and Irene Smith (Walkington); and his grandson Damien Smith. He is survived by: his wife LaCorda Smith (Youngs); his children, Ron Smith (Julie) of Central Lake, Don Smith of Traverse City, Doug Smith (Cindy) of Fenton and Lisa Thomas (Alvin) of South Carolina; his sisters, Audrey Deatsman (Carmen) and Janet McKimmy; his grandchildren, Stacy (Jim), Melissa, Tracy (Adam), Candace, Erik (Kelly), Nick, Steven, Brandon, Chad and Dustin; his great grandchildren, Jeffrey (Sarah), Rebecca (Aaron), Kelsey, Gavin, Preston, Lydia, Ezra, Micah, Chloe, Selah, Nyilee, Diamond, Kolton and Keegan; and his great great grandchild Piper.
