He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carpenter and Mable Carpenter (Hosmer); and his brothers, Everett, Archie, Durwood, Robert and Marcel.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Rennie (Roleen); his daughters, Linda Samalik, Jr. (John) and Constance Gallegos (Orlando); his grandsons, Lance Gallegos (Liz) and Lukas Gallegos; his stepgrandsons, John Samalik III (Coryn) and Michael Samalik (Felicia); and his stepgreat-grandson Von Samalik. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
